Welcome to the web-site of the State Scientific and Productive Center Pryroda of National Space Agency of Ukraine! "Pryroda" in Ukrainian means "Nature". We were created in 1992 with the purpose of archiving and distributing of remote sensing data and satellite information . SSPC Pryroda has 2 branch organizations: the North-Western Center (Kharkiv) and Donetsk Center (Donetsk). For on-line and geodesic analysis we use ERDAS and PCI software. Spatial analysis and mapping is done in such software as GIS ArcInfo, ArcView with modules, Spatial Analyst, Geostatical Analyst etc.

What SSPC Pryroda does:

gathers, analyzes and generalizes requests of satellite image users;

processes, archives and distributes remote sensing (RS) data and satellite information;

|
elaborates and introduces new technologies of the application of aerospace information;
|
|
|
does digital mapping based on the GIS/RS technologies;

|
performs on-line RS monitoring of the environment;

works out the normative and methodical documents in the field of remote sensing and environmental monitoring;

|
analyzes the state of aeorospace information usage, develops new methods of its implementation in all fields of the economy;

predicts and explores mineral deposits with RS methods, researches the Earth's crust, its tectonics and geodynamics;

|
|
researches the environment, such as water pollution and melioration systems efiiciency investigation, vegetation monitoring etc;
|
|
|
teaches and raises the level of proficient skills in the field of remote sensing.

Our experience in application of RS and GIS technologies for environment monitoring and research area:

Technical capability

Center has advanced resources for creation the customer applications and we use the newest program tools for the development of up-to-date geoinfomation solutions based on ESRI products (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Image Server) and ERDAS Imagine. Also we use modern Internet technologies - WEB 2.0.

Center's archive
|
|
RS data archive contains the information with different resolution and consists of two parts: digital data information and information recorded on photo carriers. Digital information data is received from such satelittes as Sich-1, Ocean-O, Meteor-3M, Resurs-F, TERRA/MODIS, IKONOS, SPOT, NOAA, ERS-1, Landsat, IRS, QuickBird, ALOS. Archive recorded on photo carriers containsthe data that is received by such photocameras as КАТE-200, МК-4, КFА-1000, КFА-3000, and aerophotography data.
